If you missed it last week, Felice and Carl’s engagement session was featured on Engaged and Inspired!
Felice and Carl is one amazing crafty and fun couple I’ve ever photographed! Felice and I have been talking back and forth about this session and she always excited me every time she would text and email me photos of her completed crafts! Check out that DIY cork heart she made! :]
Here’s what Felice had to say!
“We wanted the the engagement session to be upbeat, classic and timeless. I liked the idea of a fancy date in a picturesque outdoor environment. We were inspired to have a romantic picnic so we could hangout, have a toast and enjoy some cheese. I wanted to incorporate elements into the photo shoot that had significance to me and Carl. We used vintage props that are family heirlooms. Passed down from generations, we incorporated my great grandmother’s silver engraved with her initials, beautiful linens and crystal dishes. The small crystal plates were a gift from my parent’s wedding and the champagne flutes were an engagement present to us from Carl’s aunt and uncle engraved with our names and the infinity symbol. The paper crane represents good luck, happiness and prosperity and are embedded within Japanese culture. We plan to incorporate cultural elements from both of our backgrounds into our wedding, so this was a fun trial run for the both of us.”
I sooo cannot wait for their wedding next year at Holman Ranch in Carmel Valley and to work with Allison from Engaged and Inspired! It’s gonna be a ball!
Okay — I must stop your photo browsing for a second!! :] For the following photos, we were literally chasing the golden light by running up the mountain and being very careful not to step on cow poop. It was seriously an adventure and definitely worth the rolling hills view! <3
