Wesley is a former colleague of mine that I’ve known for years. When he told me that he was planning to propose to his girlfriend, Joanne, I was ecstatic to be a part of the planning process! It was a year in the making but boy was it worth it. Wesley proposed in front of South Hall at UC Berkeley where they both attended school together. Wesley crafted a “Marry Me” sign made out of rose petals. It attracted many on-lookers and some of them even stayed to watch the proposal happen. Just like photographing weddings, proposals are just as emotional! I got so teary-eyed watching the whole proposal unfold. It was such a beautiful moment for them. Joanne said “yes” in a heartbeat. Their closes friends (who were hiding in bushes) came out to congratulate them. Congratulations, Wesley and Joanne! I’m so happy for you both and cannot wait for your wedding next year!
