Oh my goodness, where do I even begin?! Vicki and I were colleagues back when I was still working in corporate. During our down time, we’d go to each other’s cubes just to talk about what we did on the weekend or talk about where we bought our clothes… lol. I remember when Vicki began dating this handsome fella named Trevor. During this time, I was also starting out my photography business. Since I was a newbie photographer, Vicki and Trevor were so kind enough to take a day with me to head up to Healdsburg where I got to photograph them as a couple. Fast forward a few years later, Trevor popped the question to Vicki and she said yes!!! I’m so thrilled that I got to photograph their real engagement session! You can take a trip down memory lane here. ;]
Of all the days in February, it rained so hard during their engagement session. We were originally going to head out East to photograph with oak trees and open fields, but the rain made us jump into Plan B and that was to have some ice cream at the adorable old school Ice Cream Bar. We stayed dried and they got to eat one of the most delicious banana splits! We then headed to Golden Gate Park where it rained the hardest. There was no way of avoiding the rain so we got out of the car and went for it!!! Most people think that photographing in the rain is bad but honestly, it can be so much fun. Vicki and Trevor were so happy and they had such a great time. All you could see were smiles and laughters. If it happens to rain on your session date, don’t let it scare you away. Have fun with it just like Vicki and Trevor. We came out with some beautiful images with the softest light, ever! I’m incredibly sad that I won’t be able to attend their wedding (as a guest OR to be their photographer) since I am already committed to another wedding. But I’m so grateful to have captured these special memories for them.
Congratulations, Vicki and Trevor! I can’t even put into worlds how ecstatic I am for you both. I look forward to many more pho dates in the future. <3
