Once in a while, I get these incredible opportunities to photograph in locations that are not open to the public. Ruby and Anhtoan invited me to photograph the first half of their engagement session at Moffett Field where Anhtoan is stationed at. I’ve been here when I was a little kid but seeing this base now that I’m older was just incredible. We photographed with two airplanes both indoor and outdoor. We started with the outdoor airplane and it was really cool to photograph it at all angles. My favorite image is the one above where Anhtoan is holding Ruby. :] The second airplane was a MC-130p Combat Shadow that was being tuned up. Its a refueling plane for helicopters and should be ready to fly again in 3 months. When I first saw it, I was like a kid in a candy store. We then headed to Baker Beach in San Francisco because that’s their favorite beach to hang out at. We didn’t spend a lot of time there since the weather was too cold but I was still able to capture fun photos of them running around. Thank you, Ruby and Anhtoan for giving me this opportunity to photograph your engagement session!
While we are on this military topic, let’s revisit an aerial refueling trip I had the opportunity to take a few years ago. I’m so grateful!
