San Francisco Engagement: City Hall (Grand Opening day) + Palace of Fine Arts – Steph + Nick

HELLO City Hall!!! Oh my goodness, I can’t believe City Hall has finally reopened after a 15 month closure due to Covid-19. My couple, Stephanie and Nick were in town from Washington and decided they wanted to photograph their first engagement location on the grand opening day. Since it’s been so long since anyone has stepped foot inside, I was a little nervous just to see how the first day would go. Would it be crowded? Would it be empty? Would they be strict on mask wearing? Luckily, we photographed in the late afternoon and it was almost empty! While there were about four other couples there, I was able to capture this magnificent building in all its glory without anyone in the photos. It felt great to be back inside City Hall which has always felt like my second home for photography. We ended our session at the iconic Palace of Fine Arts. Despite it being one of the most windiest days to photograph, I’m really happy with how the images turned out. I am so excited for Steph and Nick’s wedding in September at Villa Montalvo!
