Personal: Las Vegas Trip — Day 3 of 4 — PART I

Before I begin Day 3 of my Vegas trip, I want to backtrack to Day 1… I COMPLETELY forgot to mention I saw Cirque du Soleil “O” at the Bellagio! So after our dinner at Noodles, we headed to the “O” theater. Let me just say… The show was OUTSTANDING!!! It was mind blowing, artistic, crafty, beautiful, and full of entertainment. Honestly, I don’t know a better way to describe the “O” show than to see it for yourself. I don’t have any pictures to show you because I left my camera and cell phone in the hotel. Cameras were prohibited so I was paranoid that they would confiscate my stuff. So no photo :(… But yes, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend seeing the “O” show. It was worth every penny!

Okay, let’s begin Day 3! I am dividing Day 3 into two parts just because I had more time to take photos and I don’t want to bombard you with so many photos… 😀 So for those of you who were waiting for my Wicked Spoon photos, stay tuned!

While all of Las Vegas was still sound asleep from party rockin’ the night before, I woke up at 5:30AM (on my own!) to take a few landscape photos of the Bellagio. I was desperate to get a beautiful shot of the hotel with colors in the sky. So at 6AM, I headed out of my hotel and shot away! The sunrise was truly amazing and so beautiful to see in Las Vegas.

So if you are up that early in Vegas, definitely take a walk or devour the peacefulness of a Las Vegas morning!

As the sun was peaking up, I literally ran up the rail of the Bellagio to shot the Paris Hotel (again) with the colors in the sky. I sat on top of  a speaker and 25 feet below me was the water. A guy came up to me and even said “I just want to push you off there (into the water).” How mean, huh?! I swear though, photographers risks so much just to “get the shot.”

As you all know, Vegas hotels are extremely packed with people and it can be almost impossible to get a shot of the hotel without distractions to your subject. Since I was up so early, I went back inside the Bellagio to get shots of the beautiful interior. It was so nice because it was practically empty inside!

The ceiling below has to be my favorite photo inside the Bellagio. The chandelier looks like a huge statement ring to me. It’s gorgeous. Love the colors, the details, the painting, the lighting… all of it! 🙂 These were taken with the fisheye lens.

The bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is another area that gets extremely packed during the day. The morning was just the best time to shoot it with minimal people and beautiful, even lighting.

Going back to my hotel at the Planet Hollywood, I had more fun shooting the walking rail… hehe 😀

When I got back to my hotel, my parents were awake and we decided to take a walk to find someplace to eat breakfast. We first headed to The Cosmopolitan Hotel. It’s so pretty and contemporary inside!

More behind the scenes. Whenever you see a picture of me, note that my mom took those photos. I guess it runs in the family? You can see my dad in the far right taking a photo of something on the table… haha. You will see the results of MY photos directly below the photo of me.

We were going to eat the Wicked Spoon for breakfast, but decided it would be better to go for dinner. So off we went to explore… City Center!

Another Behind the scene shot and results… 🙂

We came across the Harley Davidson Cafe. Since my dad is a HUGE Harley fan, we decided to eat there for breakfast. Just a fun fact, my dad owns a Harley Davidson Road King bike and my parents go riding every weekend with a bunch of other Harley riders.

I went with the waffles topped with bananas, pecans, whip cream, caramel sauce, drizzled with sugared powder. 😀 Yum!! Their food was yummy and the cafe itself is pretty interesting. They have real Harley bikes that hang from a track that’s attached to the ceiling. So while you’re eating, the bikes go over your head.

So that’s it for day 3, Part 1!! Stay tuned for part 2 and that will be my Wicked Spoon photos. 😀 I’m off to LA tomorrow to meet a bunch of talented wedding photographers. I’m so excited!

See ya!

Hi Jas!! More wonderful fotos!! Especially liked the interior shots. All very nicely taken!! The ceiling glass in the reception area is by Dale Chihuly!! Google him, I am sure you will find his work quite interesting. If you ever get the chance to go to one of his exhibitions do it. Great stuff he does!!
    Cheers,

Lots of nice pics but I like the moving sidewalk shot a lot — the combination of motion and stillness is cool 🙂
