When Karen and Jack contacted me to do an engagement session, I was thrilled! They are both very sweet and down to earth individuals. Both native San Franciscans, they wanted a “San Francisco” engagement theme. What better way to portray the San Francisco theme than to go to Potrero Hill. We were so lucky to have beautiful and warm weather in January on the day of our shoot. Although it was EXTREMELY windy, it didn’t stop Karen and Jack from having loads of fun! We then headed out to South Beach Harbor where we got to go on the docks and photograph right next to the sailboats. I had a blast photographing Karen and Jack! They are just naturals in front of the camera. 🙂
A BIG thank you to Nancy Hua, our on-site hair and makeup artist. Nancy did a FANTASTIC job doing Karen’s hair and makeup. I’m so grateful she was with us the entire session for touch ups, to help with fixing collars and buttons, and for even helping me out! Ladies, if you are looking for a professional makeup artist, I strongly recommend Nancy! Please visit her on Facebook.
Enjoy Part I of this series and look out for Part II in the upcoming days!

It was an emotional morning–tears of joy and non-stop smiles from this sweet couple. We had a blast running around City Hall taking fun and creative photos.
