I had the pleasure of photographing M&R’s wedding at Sequoyah Country Club in Oakland, California, and let me tell you, it was an unforgettable day! From the moment I arrived, I could tell that this couple was all about bringing their passions to life—and they did just that in the most creative ways.

M&R’s love for Pokémon, plushies, and arcade games became the heart and soul of their celebration, and they made sure their guests were fully entertained. I’ve seen a lot of wedding details over the years, but I’ve never seen a claw machine at a wedding! The couple filled it with squishmallows—adorable plush toys that kept guests lined up, eager to snag their favorite one. It was such a fun touch, and honestly, the claw machine could have been a wedding activity on its own!

The timing couldn’t have been better either—being that their wedding was on the first weekend of November, the weather was absolutely perfect. The skies were clear, the temperature was just right, and we were treated to an incredible sunset. I had the opportunity to capture so many beautiful moments throughout the property, especially at the breathtaking tree tunnel and on top of the hill with sweeping views of the Bay.

Photographing M&R’s wedding was such a joy, and I’m so honored to have been part of their special day.
