The following photos were a mixture taken with my Canon 5D Mark III, Canon 24-70mm II Lens, iPhone, and Canon Powershot D10.
I can never get tired of Kauai, the Garden Island. It was my third time on this island and it never cease to amaze me with all its beauty. I’m lucky to have my Uncle Allan who lives on the island so we get to stay with him every time we go. :] Here are my highlights!
* Renting a Jeep!!! I wanted to go off-roading but wasn’t sure if we had enough time… so a Jeep it was!
* Visiting a Hindu Monastery. Amazing… You wouldn’t believe you could find this on a tiny island.
* Exploring South Shore: Wailua Falls, Wailua River, Sugar Cane field, the birthing stones
* Eating Saimin at Hamura Samin
* Visiting the small town of Hanapepe, Nomilu Fishpond, snow cones in Waimea
* Getting free coffee at Kauai Coffee :]]
* Visiting the National Tropical Botanical Garden
* OFF-ROADING in the Jeep. Definitely my highlight of the trip!!! It was so much fun splashing through the mud and getting the car all dirty… not to mention wiping out the entire windshield.
* Seeing the beautiful sunset in Poipu.
* Exploring Kauai’s North Shore: Napili Beach, Ke’e Beach, driving through the Taro Fields
* Seeing the wet and dry caves
* Driving through massive downpours in the rain
* Visit the Kilauea Lighthouse
* Snorkeling at Lydgate State Park
* Seeing a bunch of rainbows
* Attending the local island event: Lights on Rice Parade and seeing all of Auntie Josie’s beautiful handcrafted Christmas decorations in the County Building
* Lastly, spending time with my bestfriend Stephanie and my Uncle Allan. So many memories made…
* Oh yeah, flying to Salt Lake City on our layover back to California… LOL. Omg, talk about difference in weather. SO COLD!
I had a great time in Hawaii. I can’t wait to go back… Destination wedding, anyone?! Until next time… :]
