Las Vegas Trip – Day 3 of 4, Part II

At last! The final blog of my Las Vegas series! I hope you’ve enjoyed them thus far! It was a beautiful Tuesday morning when we woke up to pretty colors in the sky. Knowing me, I had to snap a few photos of the sky!

here are a few behind the scenes! Look at me… Still in my PJ’s “getting the shot.” I was shooting with two GND Lee Filters: 0.75 and 0.9 and my 17-40mm lens.

We had an early flight to catch so we packed our things and checked out of the hotel. But before it was time to board our shuttle bus, I snapped a few photos of us waiting. Pure boredom. Check out my geeky parents just playing with their smartphones.

While on the shuttle bus, I was able to snap a few more hotel photos. The tinted windows gave the sky a nice saturated look. I love natural photo enhancements!

City Center… so pretty!!

And…. that was the end of our trip! Haha. But before I end this post, I wanted to share a time lapse I’ve created of the crazy rain clouds from the day before. I shot this outside my hotel room window at the Planet Hollywood. It’s not the best time lapse since there are reflections and the windows were dirty. But I made it just for fun! It’s been a year since I’ve made a time lapse.

Here’s a photo of the rainclouds. It’s so cool that you can actually see the division between rain and no rain!

And finally! The time lapse video!

Did you catch two rainbows in the video? 🙂

If you can’t see the video, head over to YouTube to watch.

Hope you enjoyed the Vegas blogs! It was a fun trip. 🙂

  2. Looks like you guys had a great time in Vegas. Last time I was there, I wasn’t. I just drove by the strip on the way to Arizona. I still have yet to go there! I’m also amazed at how much gear you can schlep around. You’re like the go go gadget of photography =P

  3. Yes! That video is neat! To be able to watch the clouds like that!!! 😀
