BALI…. Wedding!! Where do I even begin?! This wedding was quite the adventure with the most fun and lively couple, Sam and Dmitry. They are both living in the Bay Area but decided to celebrate their marriage “in the middle” of America, Australia and New Zealand, so Bali it was! Prior to the wedding, my second shooter and best friend, Stephanie, got to spend one week with the bride, groom and their family and friends. It was time for us to bond and to get to know each one of them which made this wedding extra special. We felt like we were a part of the family celebrating in a dreamy destination. We ate dinner every night, went on a “girl’s day out” spa and yoga day, toured Kuta, went to the beach, and had a full day of exploring Bali together. Talk about all this planning that we were so fortunate to be invited to! Sam and Dmitry chose a beautifully updated modern Villa, Pandawa Cliff Estate to get married. The villa itself was stunning. The Indonesian architecture, lighting, to the perfect butler services, I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. Sam and Dmitry married on top of a floating stage above the infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Bali Dream Day and Bali Event Styling did an amazing job planning and styling their wedding. Not to mention, they had a special planner for basically everyone! The bride, the groom, us (photographers), a decor planner, and a general planner! Wow, it doesn’t get better than that. Sam and Dmitry’s wedding was like a wedding straight out of Pinterest. Guests dined under a ceiling of Edison bulbs that twinkled in the night’s sky. They enjoyed a special Indonesian fire dance performance while eating a spicy Indonesia dinner. Friends and family made the most heartfelt speeches along with choreographed dance routines and Polynesian chants. The night ended in an epic pool party that lasted the entire night. This wedding was one for the books, one that I will forever be grateful to be a part of and to experience this incredible adventure.
