San Francisco City Hall Civil Ceremony on Valentine’s Day – Sarah + Kian

Over 300 wedding couples married on Valentine’s Day this year 2023 at San Francisco’s City Hall. I knew it was going to be crowded but I was up for the challenge to capture Sarah and Kian’s Civil Ceremony. The main rotunda was blocked off which meant the ceremonies would take place anywhere at City Hall where there was an empty spot. My couple was fortunate to have a clear spot on the 3rd floor to have their ceremony and I positioned them in a way so the crowds were avoided in photos. The ceremony was sweet and sentimental as Sarah and Kian said “I do.” After the ceremony, we worked swiftly and quickly to capture photos all over City Hall. Capturing an empty grand staircase shot wasn’t guaranteed with the amount of crowds all over the stairs, but we were fortunate to capture portions of the staircase when it was empty. It was an honor to capture these special moments for Sarah and Kian. Congratulations!!
